Version 1.0 (beta) · 19 July 2026
Montayne is a voice-based AI German tutor, currently in a free, invite-only beta run by Gabriel Miller-Phillips (sole proprietor), Munich, Germany. Beta means: it may break, change, or pause, and features may appear and disappear while we learn.
You are talking to software, not a person. Montayne is not a therapist, not a doctor, and not a professional advisor of any kind. Conversations can feel personal; they are still conversations with an AI, and its answers can be wrong.
One account per person. Your invite link is your login: do not share it. You must be at least 18.
Do not use Montayne for anything unlawful, do not attempt to access other users' data, and do not probe, overload, or disrupt the service.
What you say stays yours. You give us the permission needed to operate and improve the service exactly as described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms. You can have everything deleted at any time.
The beta is provided as-is, free of charge. To the extent the law allows, liability is limited to intent and gross negligence; mandatory liability (for example for injury to life, body, or health) remains untouched, as do your statutory consumer rights.
German law applies. If you live elsewhere in the EU, the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence still apply to you.
We will announce material changes by email before they take effect. If you keep using Montayne afterwards, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can stop using the beta and ask us to delete your data.
